Teas from Nepal experience an increasingly growing popularity because of its soft, flowery flavour and mild taste. It has become a tip for insiders.
The small kingdom of Nepal is located in the north of India on the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. Its tea growing areas are bordering the district of Darjeeling. Due to the similar climatic conditions it is not surprising that these teas show certain similarities in taste and appearance. They also differentiate between First and Second Flush as well as Inbetween and the Autumnal season.
The most important growing areas of Nepal like Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Dhankuta und Terhathum are situated in the eastern part of the country.
